Composition: 3 wilting roses after the rain, in a garden, outside a blue house.
Angle: Low; looking slightly up at the house
Distance: Close up; the roses seem really big, emphasizes the way the roses are wilting, can't see much of the background.
Lighting/Shadow: natural light, not very many shadows; gives contented feeling- bright, beautiful roses after the storm.
Like I said above, this photo emphasizes the roses dewy from raindrops, and it's very bright outside. It leaves the viewer with a contented feeling; seeing the roses after the storm.
Jenny, sorry, I'm Haley W, not Graham--- He's my brother!!!! oops! Umm...I didn't even know he had an account...and I can't remember my username or password...
jenny i really like this photo! At first glance i think "oh look at the pretty flowers." When i look closer i realize that they are falling over. In that way i think the picture says that even sadness can bring beauty. The low angle really makes us admire the flowers beauty. Also the raindrops and wet sidewalk indicate that there was a storm, giving us a sense of why the flowers are "sad" or wilting because flower's don't generally have feelings. The natural light also adds to the idea of nature's beauty. Again really really good picture!
the low angle makes it seem as if you are croucing down with the flowers, close up shows delicate details of the flowers, and it looks real light and happy outside. pretty pic :)
Hey Jenny I like this picture. Its really interesting because while the three flowers are vibrant pink they are also wilting over. However you don't realize this right away. I really like how the camera is very close up so the flowers very clearly are the subject of the photo. Also the straight on camera angle is very interesting. The bright cheery lighting, the close up distance, and straight camera angle all seem to counteract the fact that the flowers are wilting. This actually makes the picture very cheerful and makes me feel like the flowers are not dying and will be beautiful again soon.
